Service Description
Early Intervention is a free home visiting programme for whānau who are either expecting a pepi or have a pepi less than 12 months of age.
The programme aims to improve the overall circumstances of the whānau and is designed to assist you with your new pepi to give your whānau the best possible start in life together. The whānau worker is able to work alongside and support whānau until the tamaiti is, in some cases up to the age of 5 years.

Can anyone use this service?Whānau who have a pepi under the age of 12 months, live in the Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt or Wainuiomata area and can tick any of the following:
- Teenage mother
- Unsupported parent
- Relationship issues
- Parenting/bonding problems
- Family violence
- SIDS risk
- Social Isolation
- Minimal, late or no ante natal care
