Ngā Whakamarama | Service Description
Early Intervention is a free home visiting programme for whānau who are either expecting a pepi or have a pepi less than 12 months of age.
The programme aims to improve the overall circumstances of the whānau and is designed to assist you with your new pepi to give your whānau the best possible start in life together. The whānau worker is able to work alongside and support whānau until the tamaiti is, in some cases up to the age of 5 years.
NET Māori support this by providing:
5 x Home Visiting programmes, that utilise a variety of different mediums to encourage and support whānau to understand the role of parenting. In order to provide a nurturing and safe environment for tamariki Māori.
